Owner of historic ship says it needs urgent work

The owner of a Dundee ship is warning it is in a critical condition, and needs urgent restoration.

David Kett is from Taymara, which looks after the North Carr Lightship at City Quay:

The ship, which was built on the Clyde in 1932, formerly spent time off Fife Ness.

It has a perhaps unwanted place in Dundee's history, though, as the ship which the Mona lifeboat was going to help when it capsized with the loss of its eight crew just over 60 years ago.
