Dundee Trusted Trader Scheme
We're celebrating 15 years of consumer confidence, with the Dundee Trusted Trader Scheme!
When you need a job done around the home, how do you pick someone you know you can trust to do it right? The answer? With Dundee City Council's Trusted Trader Scheme.
Run by Trading Standards, you can choose from 130 local firms that you can trust to do that job, with only a couple of clicks!
Cowboy and rogue traders cause misery and disruption to hundreds of people’s lives every year. If you don't know of a reliable tradesperson, asking friends or relative for their opinion is a good first step. However, when this doesn't yield results, the alternative is often looking through the phone book and the local paper.
The Dundee Trusted Trader Scheme can help. The Scheme works by publishing customer feedback, which is independently collated, so you'll know exactly what a firm's previous customers think of them. All comments are published, whether they're good or bad! There are over 16,000 personal testimonials from local consumers on the website, all available to view, without charge or the need to register.
And you can let others benefit from your experience of a trader by leaving your own feedback. As well as previous customer's references, contact details for traders are also published, so it's easy for potential customers to get in touch with them.
And best of all, the Scheme is totally free of charge for consumers!
But Trusted Trader works for its business members too. In a member survey, 94% of members said that membership had helped their business and brought them new customers, with some seeing over 30% of their work coming through the Trusted Trader scheme.
