Wave FM is delighted to be involved with the Dundee Kiltwalk 2019! Why not get involved, and raise money for a great cause!
It couldn’t be simpler. You don your kilt, and take a scenic walk around Tayside’s picturesque surroundings. What could be nicer? What about raising money for a charity of your choice while you’re at it? Thanks to Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, all charities taking part in Kiltwalk 2019 will receive an additional 40% fundraising boost.
It all kicks off on Sunday 18th of August! Wave FM will be joining the celebrations with the Wave FM roadshow! Sponsored by Balhousie Care Group – proud to be Tayside’s first choice in care
We’ll be in the Kiltwalk Village, congratulating the triumphant (and very tired) walkers as they reach the end of their route. After your walk, you can expect an evening of entertainment from the Wave FM team! After all, what better way to soothe your tired feet than to get them back on the dancefloor?
Want to get involved?
You can do the Kiltwalk in three different ways!
- The Wee Wander: Perfect for the whole family! The Wee Wander leaves TRB Urbans Arts Space (Dundee Waterfront) at 12 noon, and takes our walkers on a pleasant 6 mile route that includes a Pit Stop at Broughty Castle before finishing at the Kiltwalk Village.
- The Big Stroll: Ideal for an intermediate challenge and a chance to take in the stunning Dundee route. The Big Stroll Leaves Tayport at 11am, and includes a stop at the iconic Tay Bridge before reaching the Kiltwalk Village. Job well done.
- The Mighty Stride: For those who love picturesque walks – and don’t mind tired legs! The Mighty Stride leaves St Andrews at 9am, and gives the walkers a chance to take in the legendary surroundings of the Old Course. The route then takes in iconic sites such as the Tay Bridge and Broughty Castle. And, of course, a well earned party at the Kiltwalk Village.
